2007 saw the death of philosophers including Jean Baudrillard, Susan
Hurley, Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe, Richard Rorty, and Robert C. Solomon.
We will be looking for posts relating to the work of those philosophers who have died in 2007 and those who have
celebrated notable anniversaries in 2007. I’d encourage people to think broadly and not limit themselves to the obvious academic philosophers – Kurt Vonnegut died in April, and I know at least one person who would argue that even though he wasn’t a philosopher, his work was of philosophical importance. I don’t necessarily agree with this, but you get the idea.
